| 1. We maintain a 7 acre virgin prairie in Palatine IL. 2. Eight membership meetings per year. Topics include birding, environmental & conservation. 3. Field trips with Birding and Nature Activities. 4. Support area conservation education/activism, implement and teach about habitat conservation, and award grants to area groups from youths to senior citizens. 5. Monthly Membership Meetings of the PWA are held from Sept.- May. No meetings in Dec. 6. Presentations and meet-ups are always open to the public. Interesting topics! Refreshments served. Electronic Version of the FLYER Newsletter is Available!
Prairie Woods Audubon Society (PWA) would like to offer you the
opportunity of of receiving the FLYER newsletter by e-mail!
If you decide to receive the newsletter electronically, you will receive an
email notice of the newsletter’s posting to our website, rather than the
monthly paper version mailed to you. The newsletter
will also be attached in pdf format to the e-mail.
Why do this?
This will result in a significant cost savings to the chapter and helps conserve
our nation's resources, so the PWA Board is encouraging our members to
sign up for this service.
