Sat Jun 20 12pm – Sat Jun 20 3pm at Margreth Riemer Reservoir, Quentin Road & Wood Street, Palatine IL 60067 Join PWA for its 2nd Annual Picnic On The Prairie event! Free hot dogs (we will have some tofu pups too) and chips, & lemonade. Bring a dish to pass if you'd like. Prizes for the kids. Our famous socks will be on sale too! Our prairie stewards will be giving guided tours of the Palatine Prairie. | Speakers Wanted! By Brigitte Schmidt If you enjoy speaking to others and would like to share your love of birds and nature.......we're looking for you!! Prairie Woods is in process of compiling a list of members who would like to be part of our new Speaker's Bureau. Because we are often asked to speak to groups and other organizations we would like to have a list of members available who are interested in sharing their knowledge on a variety of nature related topics. If you would like to participate, please give me a call at 847-985-1903 or send me an email: detandbrig@wowway.com We can discuss details such as what topics you prefer, availability, distance you're willing to travel etc. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the continuing education of nature, wildlife and environment. |
